Why AI + SEO Metadata?
Every article needs a meta description, an excerpt, Open Graph tags, and alt text for images. Most teams skip these because they’re tedious — and that costs organic traffic. With Claude connected via MCP, you can generate all of this in seconds, directly in your WordPress site.
Step 1: Identify Content Missing Metadata
Ask Claude to audit your site for missing SEO fields:
Look at my last 20 published posts. Which ones are missing:
- An excerpt / meta description
- Alt text on their featured image
- A Yoast/SEO meta description (if the plugin is active)
List them in a table with the post title and what's missing.Claude reads your posts via MCP, checks each field, and returns a clear gap analysis.
Step 2: Generate Metadata in Bulk
Once you know what’s missing, ask Claude to fill the gaps:
For each post missing an excerpt, generate one that:
- Is under 160 characters (for search snippet display)
- Includes the primary keyword naturally
- Creates urgency or curiosity without being clickbait
- Matches our publication's voice (serious but accessible)

Alt text matters for accessibility and image search. Ask Claude:
Check my 10 most recent posts for images without alt text.
For each one, write descriptive alt text that:
- Describes what the image shows (not just "photo of...")
- Is under 125 characters
